Lush Live is pleased to present to you the first complete live audio show featured on this site. The show is from a rare import disc called "Show Us Your Tits." It is from the 1994 Reading Festival in England. You can download each song by visiting the audio section of this site. They are in .FLAC format, this is a lossless format that preserves the original sound quality. When you "unflac" them they'll be .wav files. This is done to save space. You need a program called FLAC that is free. You can download it here. Don't forget to printout the CD artwork! Enjoy!!

A bit Lush unrelated to Lush, except for the fact that Miki is half-Japanese but on March 11, 2011, Japan experienced a devastating Earthquake and Tsunami which costed thousands of innocent civilians their lives. Reconstruction will take years and these people need all the money possible to help rebuild. I encourage everyone to make a donation, no matter how small or how large to the relief organization of your choice. Below are some links to organizations who provide aid.

I created this page in 2008 to keep the memory, music and most importantly live aspect of the 90’s shoegaze band, Lush, alive. Both myself and everyone else who have been touched by this band’s music can attest to the fact that they were probably one of the most underrated bands in music history.
I made the foolish mistake of removing this page thinking I was keeping the page up only for a handful of fans. However, I later found out through Facebook and Myspace that thousands of other people had no idea about my page and were disappointed that they didn’t have the chance to visit the page.
Despite occasional brushes with the recognition they deserved, Lush never broke past the threshold required for such success. In 1992, admirer Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction asked them to be part of Lollapalooza with Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers and others.
The song and video for “Nothing Natural” captured the admiration of Kurt Cobain and just as their final studio album, “Lovelife” in 1996 was drawing larger audiences and commercial success largely due to their participation in many summer music festivals, drummer Chris Acland committed suicide and the band later decide to disband.
Not alone in the primarily British “shoegaze” genre, Lush transcended the confines of this genre by winning over fans of 1990s alternative rock fans like myself and even drawing the attention of many heavy metal fans. Their music can be described as ethereal, unworldly and in my opinion, incomparable even to bands that would be considered their closest counterparts.
The likelihood of any sort of Lush reunion is very unlikely, since their disbanding the surviving members of the band have gone on to form their own lives and families. However, the music continues to live on in spirit with those who were fortunate to discover the musical gem that was Lush. More recently, two Lush songs have been featured in the widely successful video game series “Rock Band.” This garnered the support of an entirely new generation of fans and 1990s music fans who either overlooked Lush in their heyday or simply forgot about them.
I was fortunate enough to have seen this band in concert just months before Chris’ suicide. Since then I’ve seen nearly 100 shows and nothing has come close in terms of a musical experience. Everything from the cool colored lighting, the echoes of the band’s chorus pedals echoing off the ceiling of the venue combined with the band’s tightness and onstage presence made for an unforgettable experience.
This page was designed by a fan for the fans. My intent is to keep the experience of a live Lush concert alive through today’s technology. For those who saw Lush and want to relive the live concert experience and for those who never saw Lush but want a glimpse of what it was like, this page is for you.
